Peter Elliott is an accomplished E&P professional with 15 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. Peter qualified with a degree in Geology from Sheffield University and an MSc Petroleum Geology from Aberdeen University.

Since working offshore with Halliburton in the early 1990s, Peter has played a significant role in top oil sector companies. In IHS Energy (formerly IEDS) Peter developed and maintained a world class Middle East scout service. Joining Western Geophysical in the late 1990s Peter was engaged in the large seismic spec programmes offshore West Africa, maintaining a senior marketing role when Schlumberger took control of WesternGeco. For the past five years Peter has been consulting with oil company New Ventures departments in Africa and Europe in a business development role. Peter has an invaluable mix of technical skills, commercial competence and prolific upstream experience.

Recent experience includes new country entry strategy for a large North American independent, full cycle asset evaluation and a successful farm-in strategy for a Norwegian junior and working with several firms promoting international E&P assets. Since becoming associated with Simco in 2008, Peter has performed various projects for Simco on an ad hoc basis. These projects have included organising the marketing of several farm out projects, as well as preparing a new region entry strategy for a large North American independent.
