
David Hughes

David graduated in Oil Technology from Imperial
College and has worked in the E&P sector of the oil industry for over
35 years. After a number of years with BP and Amoco in the UK, US,
Middle East and Australasia, he then held a variety of senior positions
in major companies.
He was Chief Geologist for Hamilton Oil in the mid 1980's where he
was directly involved in the Ravenspurn, Innes and Bruce developments.
He then joined British Gas where he was responsible for new ventures
business in Europe, a role that he continued with Triton Energy until
1995.
In 1995 he was appointed as new venture exploration advisor to MOL
Hungarian Oil and Gas, a major European integrated oil and gas company.
He helped to formulate an acquisition strategy, based on technical
and commercial parameters, lead field work in the NEFP of Pakistan,
which lead to the discovery of gas-condensate in the Manzalai anticline.
and assisted in evaluating potential acquisitions North Africa, the
Middle East and SE Asia.

In the past few years he has assisted companies to acquire
acreage positions in central Europe, Africa and the Middle East. He
specialises in new venture asset evaluation, government liaison and
portfolio management. He has exceptionally wide experience in Europe,
North Africa, the Middle East and SE Asia. |
